It's basically a generic, although well-built, sub box. Without tuning the box to the requirements of the sub that will fill it, all this acoustical stuff goes out the window. The JL subs do require somewhere around .7cf for their 10" sub, so it's a pretty close match. I had a Sony sub for a while that only took .5cf, so Chris' box wouldn't be such a good match for that. Well, that and it'd be like putting fancy wheels on a Yugo.
